Entezami Theater Hall to host James Fritz’s “Parliament Square”

TEHRAN-The play “Parliament Square” written by James Fritz and directed by Mahsa Sharifi will be staged at the Entezami Theater Hall from October 17.
The play centers on Kat, a young woman who gets up one morning, leaves her husband and young daughter behind and travels to London to commit an extreme act of political protest that will change her life and, she hopes, everyone else's.
The cast includes Sahar Khodadadeh, Niusha Tourani, Milad Aliparast, Sahar Mesbah, and Parvin Valizadeh, ILNA reported.
Written in 2015, “Parliament Square” won the Judges' Award in the 2015 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting.
Fritz's searingly powerful play forces a confrontation with some of the most urgent questions we face. What can one individual do to effect change? And where do we draw the line between absolute commitment and dangerous obsession?
Fritz is a multi-award-winning writer from South London, who has won the Critics Circle Theatre Award for Most Promising Playwright and the Imison and Tinniswood BBC Audio Drama Awards.
The one-hour performance will remain on stage until November 13 at the Entezami Theater Hall of the Iranian Artists Forum located at Artists Park on North Mousavi Street, Taleqani Street.
