TEHRAN Iran's Ministry of Information in a communique released Saturday evening said some members of terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) have been arrested.
The statement said a group of MKO terrorists, arrested by the ministry's forces, had entered into Iranian territory for carrying out terrorist acts including mortar attacks.
It also said that the group's equipment used for terrorist actions have been confiscated by the ministry.
According to another report, explosions hit the areas surrounding Mellat Park and Enqelab Sports Complex in northern Tehran at 21 o'clock local time Saturday night.
Reportedly the detonations occurred as a result of mortar attack on the region but it had caused no loss of life.
