TEHRAN The Palestinian observer to the UN said that U.S. pressure on the members of the Security Council is responsible for the rejection of the resolution on observer forces being stationed in Palestine.

At the end of the official session of the Security Council on Monday held to adopt a decision on the resolution proposed by the Non-Aligned Movement regarding the dispatch of an observer force to the occupied territories, Palestine's permanent observer to the UN blamed the U.S. for the rejection of the resolution.

He said the result of today's session of the Security Council indicated that Palestinians and Arabs cannot rely on the Security Council for the attainment of justice and that the council will be active only when the enemies of the U.S. and Israel are concerned.

The observer accused the Security Council of closing its eyes to the acts of Israel and the violation of the UN charter by Israel, stressing that the council is always supporting Israel.
