Iranian Film Wins "Golden Statue" of Cairo Festival

TEHRAN The Golden Statue of 11th Cairo International Film Festival went to the Iranian short film "****Shangoul and Mangoul****" by Farkhondeh Torabi and Morteza Ahadi. The film took part in the Television Animation Section of the festival.

According to a report by the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, the film has so far been awarded by several national and international festivals.

"Golden Butterfly" and a "Certificate of Appreciation" from 15th Isfahan Film Festival for Children and Young Adults, three crystal birds from Tehran International Animation Festival, and a Certificate of Merit' from Chicago Film Festival are some of the successes of the film.

"****Shangoul and Mangoul**** has been produced by the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.
