Iran's Biology Olympiad Team Heads Toward Belgium

TEHRAN Four selected students ranking the highest among the contestants for the 12th Biology Olympiad left for Belgium on Saturday, said the Head of the Youth Scholastic Club, Hossein Mirzaei.
He also said that the students are scheduled to compete with students from other countries in the 12th International Biology Olympiad, that is held in Belgium.
The first stage of the Biology Olympiad was held in Tehran and other provincial capitals, while in the second stage, students selected from the first round competed against each other in some provincial centers. Eventually the selected students attended an advanced class in the 'Youth Scholastic Club', IRNA reported.
Last year, Iran's biology Olympiad team, which bagged two silver medals, one bronze medal and a certificate of honor, ranked 8th in the world.
