TEHRAN The Majlis ratified a bill on the establishment, support, and management of large carpet weaving complexes during an open session on Wednesday.

The carpet weaving complexes will be given priority in using the resources and budget allocated for handwoven carpets in the annual budget of the government.

According to the bill, the carpet weaving complexes are exempt from production and export taxes. The Social Security Organization will be responsible for the insurance of the employees of the carpet weaving complexes.

The Minister of Mines and Industries, Es'haq Jahangiri, also attended the Majlis session in order to answer questions and explain the function of the ministry in this regard.
