5% of Iran's Imports From Other ECO Countries

TEHRAN -- Some 5.067 percent of Iran's imports were from Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) countries in the year 1379 (March 2000-March 2001).
According to statistics quoted by the Islamic Republic Of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Iran imported $14,346,865,620 of commodities last year. Imports from Kazakhstan accounted $344,754,411 of this amount.
Turkey imported goods worth $233,065,667, Uzbekistan $50,175,495, Pakistan $40,815,215, Azerbaijan $24,164,807, Georgia $20,859,243, Turkmenistan $10,176,387, Tajikistan $1,941,285, and Afghanistan $983,980. It must be noted that these statistics do not include oil and gas services.
