TEHRAN Chairman of the Political Bureau of Palestine National Authority (PNA) Farouq Qaddoumi here on Sunday held talks with Speaker of Parliament Mehdi Karrubi on the alarming situation the Zionist regime has created in the Palestinian West Bank cities.

Karrubi paid tribute to the martyrs of Palestinian Intifada and said that campaign of the Palestinians against Israeli occupation has brought honor to the entire Muslims throughout the globe.

"Today, the Palestinians resistance to Israeli aggressions enjoys the support of the world public opinion and no power is able to extinguish the sacred flames of the Intifada," Karrubi said.

He said that the United States spares no effort to support the Israeli crimes in Palestine adding that the Zionist regime blatantly ignores the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The United States presents itself as an advocate of human rights, while it renders full support to (Ariel) Sharon's full scale war against defenseless Palestinians, he said.

Karrubi called for unified action of the Islamic states to support Palestinians and help them attain their legitimate goals.

He voiced support of the Iranian nation and government for Palestinian legitimate campaign against Zionist occupation.

Qaddoumi said that Palestine is the concern of all Islamic nations adding that some Palestinians were deceived ten years ago when the peace plan was put forward. They thought that they could take concessions from the Zionist regime, but, they understood in the early days that the peace plan is a ploy to trample upon the Palestinians rights.

The PNA official said that the Zionists are using every kind of weapons to extinguish Palestinian Intifada.

Qaddoumi thanked the supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei for calling on the Arab states to put into force a symbolic one month oil embargo against Israel and Washington to protest Israeli brutal crimes against Palestinians and called on the Islamic states to implement the plan.

Israeli army admitted that it killed 200 Palestinians during the past two weeks incursion on the West Bank, about half of them in the Jenin camp.

Palestinians say that Israeli army carried out a 'massacre' in Jenin where hundreds were killed.

Residents said the army had arrested most men in the camp and had told those remaining they should leave unless they wanted to end up in the rubble of their homes.

No male from the ages of around 15 to 50 were seen in the camp. Women said males of this age group had been killed or taken prisoner.
