Urgent customs measures announced to accelerate clearance of imported goods

$1.2b allocated for basic goods imports in 2 weeks
TEHRAN – Iran has allocated $1.2 billion in foreign currency over the past two weeks to import basic goods, Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri said, adding that special trade “green lines” have been established, particularly with neighboring countries, to facilitate imports.

Over 21m tons of imported essential goods distributed across country in 10 months

Over 13m tons of essential goods imported in H1
TEHRAN – Iran imported 13.5 million tons of essential goods during the first half of the current Iranian year (March – September), up 12.5 percent from the same period last year, according to data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

CBI allocates over $6.9b for importing essential goods
