U.S. Would Shortly Admit Its Opposition Not Justified

BAKU - Iran's Ambassador to Baku Alireza Bigdeli said in an interview with A.N.S. Television here Thursday that the U.S. would shortly admit that its opposition to the conduit of Caspian Sea oil through Iran is not justified. He said a 300-kilometer pipeline connecting Neka at the Caspian Coast of Iran to Tehran would shortly start. Bigdeli said that a number of Caspian Sea states, among them Turkmenistan, have expressed their interest to send their oil to the Persian Gulf by way of the Iranian soil.

The A.N.S. Television said the pipeline would be offered to bidders in an international tender in two months. (IRNA)
