TEHRAN -- Iranian vocalist Shahram Nazeri is to give a concert in Japan in July, the Persian service of CHN reported on Monday.

His son Hafez is to accompany him, but the rest of the musicians of the band have not been selected yet, he said.

Nazeri will give the performance in the East-West fusion style he employed in his concert in Washington last April, in which he combines traditional Iranian music with Western music.

He stated that he still has no plans to perform in Iran. His last concert in Tehran was two years ago, in which he was accompanied by santur virtuoso Parviz Meshkatian.
