2nd phase of 4th methanol plan to come on stream this year

TEHRAN – The second phase of the 4th methanol plan has progressed more than 79 percent and it will become operational before the end of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2006).

A report issued by the Public Relations Department of Zagros Petrochemical Complex noted that the plan has thus far progressed 79.68 percent.

License and plan engineering phases have been completed by Lurgi and Petrochemical Industries Design and Engineering Company and most needed goods and equipment have been purchased inside the country.

The report added that sending equipment to the workshop continues and has thus far progressed 97.15 percent.

In view of the plan’s progress it is projected to become operational during the current Iranian calendar year.

The plan has progressed 77.46 percent in terms of construction and installation, more than 46 percent in terms of pre-commissioning, 42 percent in terms of on-land piping, 31 percent in terms of electrical activities and 6.1 percent in terms of instruments.
