TEHRAN -- The Solidarity Party (SP) Central Council will meet in the next 10 days to elect a secretary general and the Central Council’s Presiding Board, SP founding member Mohammad-Reza Rah-Chamani told the Mehr News Agency here on Saturday.
The SP Central Council members have been at loggerheads for some time, such that the House of Parties offered to mediate between party members.
Rah-Chamani said the SP plans to join a coalition with other reformist parties with a single candidate list for the Assembly of Experts and local council elections, which will be held on December 15.
“We will actively participate in both the Assembly of Experts and city council elections,” he added.
He went on to say that “moderation” in social and political policy is the core of the party’s strategy.
