TME trades hit 246,000 tons for week
The metals offered at the exchange during the week increased about 672 percent in terms of volume and 368 percent in terms of value.
Some 243,250 tons of various steel products worth Rls.350,431,560,000 were traded at the metals market accounting for 98.85 percent of the weight and 89.04 percent of the value of all the transactions closed during the week.
In the same period, around 2,800 tons of copper products valued at Rls.119,616,040,000 changed hands at the exchange, accounting for 0.88 percent of the weight and 7.89 percent of the value of the total deals closed at the exchange.
Also during the week, 500 tons of aluminum products worth Rls.14,994,760,000 changed hands at the metal exchange, accounting for 0.20 percent of the weight and 0.99 percent of the value of the total deals closed at the exchange.
In addition, around 150 tons of molybdenum sulfur valued at Rls.21,532,810,000 was transacted at the TME accounting for 0.06 percent of the weight and 2.07 percent of the value of the total deals closed at the exchange in the same period.
As for the molybdenum concentrates group, 150 tons of molybdenum sulfur valued at Rls.21,532,810,000 were traded at the metals market accounting for 0.06 percent of the weight and 2.07 percent of the value of all the transactions closed during the week.
No zinc products were offered at the metal exchange during the week however, the Persian service of MNA quoted the TME Information and Public Relations Office as saying on Friday.
Based on the report, the 451,860 tons of demand for the metals outweighed the total of 271,420 tons of supply of the commodities offered at the exchange during the week.
