Sami Yusuf agrees to appear on IRIB TV

TEHRAN -- Religious singer and composer Sami Yusuf has agreed to appear on the IRIB Channel 5 talk show “Kuleh-Poshti” (Backpack) on Id al-Fitr, which is in the middle of October this year.
Sami Yusuf has accepted the invitation to be the guest of honor on the TV show, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Sunday. Sami Yusuf is a British singer-songwriter of Azeri origin. He was born in Tehran in July 1980. Yusuf’s music focuses on social and humanitarian issues and many of his songs are about Islam and what it’s like being a Muslim in the modern world
