Islamic Labor Party to Be Established Soon

TEHRAN A new political party is to born soon in the Islamic Republic with its heavy agenda for the welfare of workers and peasants, an informed source said. Talking to the TEHRAN TIMES the source yesterday said, The Khaneh Kargar or the Labor House is playing vital role for the formation of the political party with the name of the Islamic Labor Party. When contacted to the Khaneh Kargar, an official there said, Well, final touches are being made to the plan of the Islamic Party and a detailed announcement will be made soon. Another source told the TEHRAN TIMES that Khaneh Kargar Secretary General Ali Reza Mahjoob is one of the founders of the party including, Labor Minister Hussein Kamali, Majlis Deputy Ms. Sohaila Jelodarzadeh and former labor minister Sarhadizadeh. Mahjoob, also a member of the Majlis, while visiting Hamedan on Friday said that the manifesto of the proposed Islamic Labor Party has been drafted and will be submitted to the Interior Ministry for necessary approval soon. He hoped the party will start its nationwide activities during the current Iranian year. Mahjoob further said Khaneh Kargar is determined to participate in the forthcoming elections for the Assembly of Experts and will spare no efforts to mobilize the people to come under its umbrella and take part in the elections. Mahjoob said that coalition of different political factions and preparing a list of joint candidates for the Assembly of Experts is improbable.
