Laleh Park, an Outstanding Green Area in Tehran

TEHRAN When you step in, you find a lot of flowers and beautiful plants. The pleasant songs of birds fill the air and make you calm and peaceful. Here is Laleh Park, a beautiful site located in the sixth district of Tehran. It ends to Laleh Int'l Hotel and Carpet Museum from the north, Keshavarz Boulevard from the south, Hejab Street from the east and Northern Karegar Street from the west.

The park, in an area of 35 hectares was established in the Iranian calender year 1345 (1966). Different families of herbal spices can be seen in the Park. Oriental trees, pine, locust, cypress and weeping willow are the main beautiful trees which attract people's attention in Laleh Park. The park presents various facilities to visitors. The facilities presented to the public include the Japanese garden, an area allocated to chess tables, waterscapes, children's funfare, a compass in which Khayyam statue is placed, Center for Intellectual Developments of Children and Young Adults, several booths for presenting services and handicrafts and a mosque.
