TEHRAN – Installation operations for the 7th GLP topside of Salman field will start by the next two days, public relations department of Petro Iran Company stated here Monday.

Hamid Musavi added the topside will inject 60 million cu. f. of gas to the oil tanker of Salman field.
The 30x45 meter topside weighing 2500 tons will be installed 50 meters above sea level by FLB124 barge using float-over method, he said.
The oil section of Salman field constitutes of PP3 and GLP platforms along with the link bridges, he noted.
As the main contractor of the Salman field development project, Petro Iran Company is in charge of executing the project in the form of engineering, procurement, and construction of the infrastructures and superstructures (EPC-1), repair and maintenance of the existing rigs (EPC-2) and laying oil and gas pipelines in the field (EPC-3).
By launching the platform, the daily production capacity of natural gas in the field will rise by 50,000 barrels, he concluded
