ROME, Italy (CNN) -- Ludovic Giuly and Mirko Vucinic came off the bench to score second-half goals as Roma came from a goal down to keep their Series A title hopes alive with a 2-1 win over deposed European champions AC Milan.

The victory gives Roma 61 points to move within three of leaders Inter Milan, who play Palermo on Sunday.
Giuly scored in the 78th minute, knocking in the ball with his shin as he fell backward in the area.
Three minutes later Vucinic sealed the comeback with a low shot that beat Milan goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac.
Brazilian star Kaka had put Milan ahead in the 56th, but he went off in the 88th minute with a back problem.
“Our comeback is a sign that we are a great team,” Vucinic said. “To come back from a deficit against a very strong Milan is not easy.”
After going ahead, Milan had several chances to double their lead with Clarence Seedorf -- who had been out injured for two weeks -- going close as his effort was cleared off the line by Roma defender Cicinho.
“We deserved to win,” Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said. “In the past we have won games we deserved to lose. This was a game we lost that we deserved to win.”
Milan have 46 points, one behind fourth-place Fiorentina in the battle for the final qualifying spot for next season's Champions League. Milan lost to Arsenal in the last 16 of this year's competition earlier in a disappointing week.
Fiorentina host Genoa on Sunday and will look to build a bigger gap.
In Saturday's other game, Antonio Di Natale scored his 13th goal in the Series A this season in the 86th minute, enabling Udinese to come back for a second time and draw 2-2 with Lazio.
The loss extended Lazio's winless streak on the road to 10 and left them with only one win their last 18 away from home, dating back to last season.
