Persian language teaching discussed in Moscow

TEHRAN -- A group of Russian professors who teach Persian language and literature at various universities in Moscow held a gathering at the Moscow State University of International Relations on April 10.

Gennady Gladkov, the vice rector of Moscow State University of International Relations, gave the opening speech of the event, which over 30 professors and several students of Persian language and literature attended.
Gladkov emphasized the need to exchange views and experiences with academics of Iranian universities to help improve the quality of teaching.
Iran’s cultural attaché in Moscow, Abuzar Ebrahimi, gave a speech in which he announced that his office is prepared to assist all Persian language departments of Russian universities.
Dr. Elena L. Gladkova of the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University spoke about the issue of teaching the Persian language, and Professor Vladimir B. Ivanov, the dean of the Iranian Philology Department of the institute, discussed the issue of modernizing the method of teaching Persian.
