TEHRAN -- Film producers and crew of the great project “Resurrection Day” met with Ayatollah Vaez Tabasi in Mashhad on Thursday.
Directed by Ahmadreza Darvish, the movie “Resurrection Day” focuses on the uprising of Imam Hussein (AS)[the fourth Imam of the Shiite Muslims].
Ayatollah Tabasi, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Khorasan, conveyed his respects to the film crew and related his hopes that the movie will make a great impression on public opinion around the world.
“Featuring the impeccable character of Imam Hussein (AS) will distinguish this movie from other films and TV series about the lives of the Imams and Prophets,” Ayatollah Tabasi added.
He continued, “The uprising of Imam Hussein (AS) must be studied from two different aspects including his movement, morality and social, political and cultural attitudes, as well as the Divine satisfaction resulting from the Imam’s surrendering to God’s will.”
“What you are doing here is very delicate and quite important. It is of tremendous concern to the world, he remarked.
Ayatollah Tabasi explained, “Depicting the morality and spirituality of Imams is very difficult and all aspects of this must be reviewed and studied carefully. Imam Hussein (AS) is a world famous figure and this movie must impress all peoples from any background of religion.”
Project advisor Ahmad Masjed-Jamei also among the participants stated that the best cinematic equipment is being used in this project and that renowned actors from Iran and some foreign countries are participating.
Director Darvish remarked that while this movie is an Iranian production, it will belong to all Muslim countries.
He also expressed hopes that they will be able to produce a movie, which will enlighten the world with the truth about the great movement of Imam Hussein (AS).
