TEHRAN -- Iranian Quranic researchers and artists were honored on Tuesday at the National Museum of the Quran.

Former president of Iran and the head of the Baran Foundation Seyyed Mohammad Khatamai and the Quran National Museum’s Head of the Board of Trustees of Ahmad Masjed-Jamei presented the honorary certificates and trophies to the winners.
In the field of religious research, Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi was honored for his book “Mafatih Novin”.
Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadi Reyshahri was commemorated for compiling of “Nahj ul-Doah” and “Nahj ul-Zekr”.
Calligrapher Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini Movahhed, illuminator Mohammad Aqamiri, poet and author Seyyed Mehdi Shojaii and dramatist Hossein Mosafer-Astaneh were all honored at the ceremony.
Quranic researcher Maliheh Sadat Musavi, the eulogist of the Prophet’s Household Mohammadali Eslami, Islamic architect Shahabeddin Arfaii and film producer Mohammadali Basheh Ahangar for “Child of the Earth” were commemorated at the ceremony.
The late post-Islamic Revolution bard Qeisar Aminpur was also commemorated during the ceremony.
