Shahroudi: U.S. officials should take lessons from election results

@H= TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi said on Monday that the result of U.S. presidential elections indicated that the American people call for change in the behavior of their government.
Speaking to the judiciary officials, he said, ""We hope the result of U.S. presidential election would give a good lesson to U.S. officials.
Past experiences indicate that ""we should not expect a serious change in the behavior of U.S. officials but we hope the vote of people to awaken the U.S. Administration and persuade them to avoid tyranny under pretext of defending democracy,” he said.
The Bush administration has misused human rights issues as a political means to dominate other countries through war and bloodshed but the vote of U.S. people proved that they are against such a policy, he said.
Referring to the awareness of Muslim nations as well as freedom-lovers across the world, he said the world nations are fully aware that the era of deception and bullying is over.
