TEHRAN - Iranian midfielder Mehrdad Oladi will not join newly-promoted La Liga side Deportivo Xerez.

It is said that Oladi was not accepted due to lack of necessary documents. His status as a free agent player remains unclear.
Xerez coach Jose Angel Ziganda has practically ruled out Oladi’s signing up for the time being. “I believe that Oladi will not come”, Ziganda said on Friday.
“We certainly need a striker, but the reason we haven’t hired one yet is because we couldn’t find a player that would fit our budget.”
Nevertheless, the club has still two forward positions to fill in and the local press speculates that the former Persepolis player would remain an option for Xerez during the winter transfer period.
