French actor Dieudonné visits Iran’s EDFC

TEHRAN -- French actor and political activist Dieudonné M’bala M’bala visited with Shafi Aqamohmmadian, the newly appointed director of Iran’s Experimental and Documentary Film Center (EDFC) on Saturday.
Aqamohmmadian said that the EDFC is ready to collaborate with him on joint documentary film projects.Dieudonné, who is famous for his anti-Zionist attitudes, criticized French film companies for their pro-Semitic inclination and said that they are strongly influenced by Hollywood.
He said that his plot for a film on slavery in France has been rejected by the companies there and consequently, he plans to make the film in Cuba.
His last screen appearance to date was in Maurice Barthélémy’s box-office hit “Casablanca Driver” in 2004.
Dieudonné is also the owner of the Théâtre de la Main d’Or in Paris, which is used for both stand-up comedy and political events by himself and friends and colleagues such as the militant anti-Semitic “Tribu Ka”.
