“Mr. Men” and “Little Miss” to entertain Iranian children

TEHRAN -- The Persian version of 70 books by English author and illustrator of children books Charles Roger Hargreaves will soon be published in Iran.
The books were translated by Ava Elahipanah and are scheduled to be released by Jan-e Shifteh Publications next week.“Little Miss Chatterbox”, “Little Miss Late”, “Little Miss Shy” and “Little Miss Stubborn” are among those being published next week.
The attractive 12-page book narrates stories appropriate for children in simple language. The books were among the bestsellers in previous years and have been translated into several languages.
Hargreaves (1935 –1988) was an English author and illustrator of children’s books, notably the “Mr. Men” and “Little Miss series”, intended for very young readers.
The simple humorous stories in the books, with their brightly colored and boldly drawn illustrations, have been a part of popular culture for over 25 years, with sales of over 100 million copies worldwide in 15 languages.
