“Nokhodi” catches Golden Butterfly at Hamedan filmfest

TEHRAN -- The Iranian movie “Nokhodi” by director Jalal Fatemi was selected best film of the festival this year at the 24th Hamedan International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults, while it also took home the best jury award.

A total of 150 cineastes coming from 40 countries attended the program this year. Hamedan with its nine theaters along with 12 more theaters in other provincial cities covered the screening of programs.
The winners of the 24th edition of the gala were awarded Golden Butterflies during the closing ceremony of the five-day event on October 12.
The following is a list of winners in the major categories of the event:
* Iranian Films Section.
Best Film: “Nokhodi” by producer Fereshteh Taerpur.
Best Director: Naser Refaii “Home Is Safe”.
Best Screenplay: “Home Is Safe” by Naser Refaii.
Best Actor: Mohammad-Javad Jafarpur for his role in “Saturday Hunter”.
Best Actress: Fatemeh Vali-Mohammadi for her role “Meadow”.
Best Computerized Special Effects: “The Secret of Taran Desert” by director Hatef Alimardani.

Best Asian Film: “The Homeless Student” by director Tomoyuki Furumaya (Japan).
Best Short Animation: “Lost and Found” by Philip Hunt (England).
Best Young Actor: Sae Ron Kim for the film “A Brand New Life” by Ounie Lecomte (France-S. Korea).
Best Screenplay: “Lippel’s Dream” by Lars Buchel (Germany).
Best Director: Semih Kaplanoglu “Honey” (Turkey).
Best Film: “A Brand New Life” by Ounie Lecomte (France-S. Korea).
Best Long Animation: “Jasmine Birds” by Sulafa Hijazi (Syria).
Jury Special Award: “Nokhodi” (Iran).
