IPA to hold Islamic Revolution photo exhibits nationwide

TEHRAN -- The Iran Photo Agency (IPA) is arranging exhibits featuring photos of the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 60 cities nationwide during the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations from February 1 to 10, marking the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Each exhibit will be displaying 40 photos showcasing the revolution from different viewpoints, director of Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS) Hashem Mirzakhani said in a press release published on Wednesday. The Iran Photo Agency is affiliated with IYCS.The agency has resumed its activity by holding more exhibits these days. It is currently arranging an exhibition of photos by English photographer Michael Kenna (born 1953). Kenna is best known for his black and white landscapes.
A collection of his works will be distributed to different branches of IYCS in the country to be reviewed and studied.
Works by Iranian photographer Mehdi Monem focusing on veterans wounded by chemicals in Iran-Iraq war (1980-88), known in Iran as the Sacred Defense, is the other program by the agency.
The agency plans to have several other exhibits in various cities for its future programs.
