Tehran galleries to showcase Islamic Revolution in photos

TEHRAN -- Photos by renowned photographer Akbar Nazemi will be on display during two exhibitions at two galleries.
An exhibition depicting women who participated in the Islamic Revolution of 1979 will be held at the Kamaleddin Behzad Gallery from February 5 to 10.A total of 60 photos will be displayed at the gallery which is located on Shanzdah-e Azar St. at the intersection of Keshavarz Blvd.
The gallery of Iranian Photographers Center (IPC) will also host a photo exhibition by Nazemi under the title of “Children and Young Adults” and “Graffiti and Mottos”.
The exhibit which has 100 photos will run from February 5 to 15 in the gallery located at Hafez and Somayyeh Intersection.
The 4000-photo collection is part of a private archive listed under the title of “Islamic Revolution Photos and Film”.
Nazemi’s artwork has gone on display in over 25 national and international exhibitions. His depictions of “The Iranian Revolution”, “The Iran-Iraq War” and “Architecture in Iran”, have been acclaimed in Iran, Germany, United States of America and Canada.
