End-of-year concerts liven up Tehran

TEHRAN -- Tehran is approaching the New Year, with loads of concerts in the pop, classical, and traditional Iranian styles during the final days of Iranian calendar year 1389 (March 21 2010-2011).
Pop singer Mohsen Yeganeh will be giving concerts on Tuesday and Wednesday at Tehran’s Milad Tower, the Persian Service of the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported on Monday.Vocalist Shahram Nazeri will repeat his Isfahan concert on Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh at Milad Tower on March 10 to 13.
Pop singer, Ehsan Haqshenas, will be giving his concert on Thursday at Iran-e Shams Hall.
Mohammad Isfahani is scheduled to give concerts on March 11 and 12 performing a selection from previous concerts.
Milad Tower will also be hosting pop singer Reza Yazdani on March 17.
The concert “Sing with Love” has been arranged in commemoration of the deceased solo tenor singer, Mohammad Nuri, in Vahdat Hall for three days starting from March 9 to 11. There are also plans to unveil the Nuri award during the ceremony.
Tehran Chamber Orchestra by conductor, Mehdi Qasemi, will be giving their performances at Rudaki Hall on March 10 and 11 where western compositions are scheduled to be performed.
Several concerts by conductor, Kaveh Hamedanian, were also held during the previous days that included “Rastak”, and “Rasa”.
