Iran condemns desecration of holy Quran in Florida

TEHRAN - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has expressed deep concern over the desecration of the holy Quran in a church in Florida, calling it a detestable move in line with creating sedition in the world.
“Such extremist moves are the result of Islamophobia and fight against Islam in the U.S., and those who have committed such crimes” are contributing to the United States’ project in “creating conflict and dissention among divine religions,” Mehmanparast noted.The spokesman said, “Based on the international law the U.S. administration is obligated to prevent religious hatred.
