TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that the Iranian people should be ready to continue fight against global “arrogance”.
The Leader made the remarks during a meeting with university students in Tehran on Saturday afternoon. The campaign against arrogance is not something to be stopped, the Leader said, calling the U.S. an “excellent example of arrogance”.
He went on to say that fight against arrogance is one of the principles of the Islamic Revolution.
Ayatollah Khamenei also described “establishing an Islamic community and reviving political Islamic thought” as the most important causes.
The Leader added that “fight against hegemony and arrogance” is the third important cause.
The main reason for the hostility of the bullying powers toward Iran is the country’s refusal to give in to arrogance system, he stated.
Commenting on Saudi Arabia’s aerial attacks on Yemen, the Leader said that Saudis’ anger toward Iranian clout in the Mideast region is the main reason for bombarding the Yemeni people.
The Western countries that claim to be liberal remain silent toward the Saudis’ crimes and the UN Security Council issued one of its most “disgraceful” resolutions and condemned those who are under bombardment and not those who drop the bombs, he noted.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he stated that the Iranian nuclear negotiators hold talks with the U.S. just on the nuclear issue.
