Iran appoints new cultural attachés to Senegal, Sri Lanka, and Tajikistan

TEHRAN -- The Director of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, has appointed new cultural attachés to Senegal, Sri Lanka, and Tajikistan.

Seyyed Hassan Esmati will take Iran’s cultural office in Dakar, Mohammad Orei-Karimi in Colombo, and Ebrahim Khodayar in Dushanbe, the ICRO announced in a press release on Sunday.

Seyyed Hassan Esmati, Mohammad Orei-Karimi, and Ebrahim Khodayar had previously held the same positions in Tunisia, Bangladesh, and Uzbekistan respectively.

According to the ICRO, the diplomats are tasked with promoting Iran’s cultural ties with the respective countries.
