TEHRAN – An exhibition of paintings by the Iranian composer and conductor Loris Tjeknavorian will open at the Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran on April 18.

A collection of 30 paintings will be put on display in the forum until April 24, the forum announced in a press release on Tuesday.

The first exhibition of paintings by the maestro was held at Tehran’s Shirin Gallery on January 20, 2012.

Tjeknavorian has performed throughout the world, having conducted international orchestras in Austria, Britain, the United States, Canada, Hungary, Iran, Finland, Armenia, Thailand, Hong Kong, South Africa and Denmark. 

His own compositions have been performed by major orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the American Symphony Orchestra in New York and the Tehran Symphony Orchestra.
