Olive, the health secret of Mediterranean diet

TEHRAN — A dietician believes consuming olive fruit and olive oil to be the health secret of the Mediterranean diet. He specifies too much olive consumption as the main property of the diet. Besides consuming vegetables, fruits and cereals, as protein sources, lower cholesterol absorption in the diet consumers.
Considering balance in diets is very important. Using olive in the Mediterranean, too much spices in the Indian and heat in the Chinese diets are the main characteristics of each of them. However the Mediterranean diet is the healthiest of all, Dr.Seyed Ali Keshavarz, Tehran Medical University professor and dietician says, according to ISNA.

The university professor went on to say foods that are heated and roasted too much and become too dark, increase the risk of creating carcinogens and also vanish vitamins and proteins of foods.

Keshavarz believes using too much spice harmful and says using small amount of spice in cooking foods to be of benefit, but too much consumption of them as risky for one’s health. Taking too much pepper by eating the Indian foods causes hyperactivity in children. Besides consuming some types of spices may create carcinogens.

Experts say the Mighty and Wise creator of man, Allah, has mentioned olive in his bright book, the Holy Quran. He swears by olive in the chapter of ‘Tin’ i.e. fig fruit. So Muslims should pay more attention to the health secrets of Quran, not to retard non- Muslims in choosing healthy foods and diets.
