Iran finishes in second place of the Vietnam Under-21 Football Tournament on Tuesday. 

Iran lost to host Vietnam 2-1 in the final game of the competition held in Central Highlands city of Pleiku. 

At a waterlogged ground, Huu Khoi put the host into the lead after half an hour. Iran striker Sardar Azmoon equalized the match just before the interval. lder Nguyen wrapped up victory for Vietnam in the 59th minute with a shot.  

Qatar's U17 Aspire Academy defeated Thailand 2-1 in the bronze medal match. 

The organizers awarded Vietnam a cash prize of $12,000 while Iran returned home with $7,000. Aspire Academy also received $5,000 as the third team.
