FC Rostov striker Sardar Azmoun, who scored three goals for Iran in the recent 3-1 win over Macedonia in a friendly match on Thursday, believes that scoring a hat trick in an international match has a magnificent feeling.

“Macedonia is a strong side who has players playing in notable European football leagues including Serie A and LA Liga. I’m happy we beat them while we got good lessons playing against them,” Azmoun said.
“I’m extremely happy to score my first hat trick for Team Melli and I hope this would continue. It is such an honor to score three goals for Iran in a single match and I feel so special. I would like to thank my teammates who provided assists and helped me to score goals,” the 21-year-old striker added.
Carlos Queiroz team is preparing for the 2018 World Cup qualification.
The team will take on Kyrgyzstan in Tehran on Tuesday.
