Iran’s Farhad Ghaemi has missed the 2016 FIVB Volleyball World League due to respiratory infection.

The key member of the Iranian team has been hospitalized with the disease. 

Ghaemi helped Iran achieve first-ever Olympics qualification with his good services in the Men's World Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Tokyo in late May.

 He will not accompany the Iranian team in Brazil, where Raul Lozano’s men will face Brazil in Group 1 Week One at the Arena Carioca 1 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on June 16.
Iran will also face USA and Argentina on June 17 and 19 respectively. 
Iran’s Amir Ghafour will also miss the first two weeks of the FIVB Volleyball World League since he is also suffering from a foot injury. 
Siamak Afrouzi, Iran's volleyball team doctor, says that the two players can represent the countey in the matches have been scheduled in Tehran from July 1 to 3. 

The 2016 FIVB Volleyball World League will be the 27th edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament played from 16 June to 17 July 2016.

 The tournament will feature a new format with 36 teams expected to compete. The Group 1 final round will be held in Kraków, Poland.
