Hossein Tayebi and Saeid Abbasi scored braces as defending champion Tasisat Daryaei of Iran wrapped up a 4-3 victory over Uzbekistan’s Almalyk FC in Group B of the AFC Futsal Club Championship at Bangkok Arena on Friday.

The Iranian team has been scheduled to face Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen on Sunday.

“We had a very tough game, but the first game is always tough, and I think they are one of the best teams in this tournament. Both teams had lots of chances to score and their keeper was the best player,” Tasisat coach Amir Shamsaei said.

“After scoring our second goal we got more chances and in the end we won. Of course we are not satisfied, but the conditions are always difficult in the first match. Each game is a final and we have passed the first test,” he added.
