TEHRAN – The Defense ministry does not need any approval from the Majlis for some of its military backups, Deputy Defense Minister for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Reza Talaee Nik said on Saturday.

Referring to Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan’s remarks to the same effect, Talaee Nik said that the minister had meant decisions such as the one to accommodate Russian fighters in an airbase in Iran are approved through some bodies other than the Majlis.
