TEHRAN – Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi has called the 2015 Mina tragedy a stain on Saudis’ record which will remain with them for good. 

“There is no doubt that the Mina tragedy was a stain on Saudis’ record… that cannot be washed away by any water,” he said in a statement on Saturday on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Mina crush. 

During the accident 464 Iranian pilgrims lost their lives.
