TEHRAN – “Takhti” composed by Iranian musical prodigy Puria Khadem has recently been recorded in collaboration with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in Czech, Iranian conductor of the orchestra, Ali (Alexander) Rahbari, said on Sunday.

Young Iranian vocalist Mohammad Motamedi sings in the piece, which also features other Iranian musicians, including Amir Bavarchi, Parisa Pirzadeh and Barbod Bayat, he told the Persian service of MNA.

“Last year, I heard the beautiful, clear voice of Mohammad Motamedi in a concert with my lifelong dear friend Hossein Alizadeh,” Rahbari said.

“Just at that moment I decided to work with him in some project in the future,” he added.

Khadem composed “Takhti” in memory of the legendary wrestler Gholamreza Takhti.

“When I was in Tehran I learned about ‘Takhti’, which was an amazing piece well-composed for orchestral performance and highlights a popular national theme,” mentioned Rahbari who was formerly the conductor of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra.

He said that he has always had a strong desire to help young Iranian musicians to be acknowledged in the world.
