Winners of 11th Fajr Intl. Poetry Festival honored

TEHRAN – Winners of the 11th Fajr International Poetry Festival were honored during a ceremony held in Mashhad on Wednesday attended by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Reza Salehi-Amiri.

The ceremony began with honoring the five poets selected from Afghanistan: Rooholamin Amini, Toktam Hoseeini, Qanbar Ali Tabesh, Abutaleb Mozaffari and Afif Bakhtari.

The book “Qech-Qech” by Tayebeh Shademani and “Oh, If I Had a Tail” by Maryam Hashempur shared the best prize at the children’s section of the festival.

Nasrollah Purjavadi was the poet who was honored in the “About Poetry” category of the festival for his book “Baba Taher”.

In the adult’s section of the festival, “Book of Hesitation” by Abdolhamid Ziai and “But This Late” by Samaneh Kahrobaian shared the best prize.
