TEHRAN – The inauguration of Hassan Rouhani as Iran’s next president has been postponed, the Iran Students News Agency reported on Wednesday.

Citing Behrooz Nemati, the spokesman of the Majlis presiding board, the news agency said a new date for the inauguration will be announced later.

No further detail as to the reason for the postponement has been given.

Initial reports said two weeks ago that Rouhani was going to be sworn in on July 6.
