TEHRAN – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced on Saturday that its forces have disbanded a terrorist cell in the northwestern town of Oshnavieh.

In a statement, IRGC’s Hamze Sayyid al-Shohada headquarters said its “brave forces” carried out an operation on Friday night and managed to disband the terrorist cell, killing and injuring seven of the terrorists.

The terrorists planned to enter the country but due to the vigilance and preparedness shown by the Iranian forces, their plan was foiled, the statement said.

It added that none of the Iranian forces were injured during the operation.
