TEHRAN – A total of 100 historical objects are up for restoration by teams of cultural heritage experts and restorers across Qom province, central Iran, CHTN reported.

The objects, which date from the Bronze and Iron Ages, are composed of earthen urns, pateras, bowls and jars as well as metallic pieces that have been unearthed during various excavation seasons in Qom, provincial tourism chief Hamidreza Yazdani said on Saturday.

Cleansing, desalination and the removal of surface sediments are parts of the restoration project that also targets fixing corrosive effects in both physical and chemical aspects, he explained.

The project is planned to be implemented flawlessly to ensure no changes in nature and shapes of the objects.
