ElBaradei to Trump: You can’t threaten a country and call for talks

July 31, 2018 - 17:41

TEHRAN – Mohamed ElBaradei, the former director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s call for talks with Iran, saying, “You cannot renege on a deal considered by all as a keystone, threaten the country, humiliate its leaders and then impulsively call for talks!”

“Agreements are based on trust, mutual accommodation & respect, not intimidation & threats. DPRK approach is not a model #Iran,” ElBaradei said in a tweet on Tuesday.
