TEHRAN – The first edition of the ‘Peace & Friendship Cup’ was held in Zoljanah Club in Tehran on Sunday.

Kioumars Heydari, commander of the Army Ground Forces, attended the competition.

Chogan is an ancient Iranian team sport played on horseback with the objective of scoring goals using a long-handled mallet.

Chogan was included on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in late 2017.
