TEHRAN – Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Muhtarem Ince is scheduled to visit Tehran on Monday for talks with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Zolfaqari, Fars reported on Sunday.

The visit comes after Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli’s October visit to Ankara, where he met with his Turkish counterpart Suleyman Soylu to discuss various bilateral and regional issues.

During that visit, the Turkish minister hailed the two countries’ joint fight against terrorism, drug trafficking, illegal immigration, smuggling of goods, as well as cooperation in improving border security.
