TEHRAN – Chairman of the Majlis Economic Committee announced on Tuesday that the Economy Ministry plans to establish an anti-sanctions office in a bid to counter the latest U.S. economic sanctions against Iran.

Mohammadreza Pourebrahimi said members of the parliamentary committee held a meeting in Tehran earlier in the day, which was attended by Economy Minister Farhad Dejpasand and some banking officials, Tasnim reported.

“The formation of the anti-sanctions office in the Economy Ministry with the aim of monitoring the Americans’ measures in the banking sector and moves to strengthen banking system was discussed at the meeting,” he said.
